Michelle Stovall is a freelance costume designer who graduated with her MFA in Costume Design from The Pennsylvania State University in 2018. Her BFA in Costume Design was from the University of Utah. Costume designs from Penn State include Cosi fan tutte and The Light in the Piazza. Other designs include, Youth Theatre at the U (Salt Lake City, Utah): Crow and Weasel, A Year with Frog and Toad, James and the Giant Peach; Babcock Theatre: Much Ado About Nothing and Tristan and Yseult. She has also worked in film and TV. When not designing costumes for the screen, theatre or opera, Michelle excels at shopping, swatching (OK swatching is her life), craft work, and mastering renderings in many mediums including digital. She possesses a strong knowledge of costume history and the NYC garment district.
